Dec. 18 Collection Drive for Afghan refugees

Rhode Island is welcoming Afghan families who have fled the Taliban--including some who will be relocating to North Kingstown. Homes, goods and services, mentors, funds, and volunteer hours are all needed to help these families make a smooth transition.

On Saturday, Dec. 18, in direct support of families resettling in Wickford and nearby Kingston the following week, we're holding an all-day collection drive for new or gently used items at NK's Cold Spring Community Center (36 Beach Street).

Our partners in this mission include Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island (DIIRI) and the Rhode Island National Guard.
