Traffic Safety Survey: Give them your opinion!

North Kingstown's roads can be a dangerous place. We had a bicycle fatality on Boston Neck Road in June. The driver was drunk, but lots of people who aren't drunk also drive way too fast on that road.

RIPTA secured funding in 2022 through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Safe Streets for All (SS4A) program to support planning for infrastructure improvements to prevent injuries and save lives. One bike fatality on our roads is one too many. Please think about where you see the need for better roadside safety in town, and then go click below and give them your opinion. RIPTA will use the results to inform their own policy, but also to pressure RIDOT to up their game on pedestrian, bike, and transit infrastructure.

Take the survey here: https://us.planengage.com/ri_safestreets/page/home. The survey is a little odd and involves keeping two tabs open: in one you answer questions about traffic safety and in the other you use a map to highlight trouble spots in town and make comments about them. It's odd, but not too hard (though don't try it on a phone) and they need the feedback.
